Colorado. It's a wonderful place to vacation in. At least Estes Park is. Estes Park is right outside of the main entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. We rented a cabin for the week and had a great time. It was a family thing. Barb & I, Glee & Ron, Mike, Beth, Karsten, Jackson & Tristan made up our family for the week. We were hoping that Jim, Mandy & Charlotte could be with us, but with a new baby coming in December they opted to use vacation at that time. Maybe next time!!
We took so many beautiful pictures. I didn't know we were all such good photographers!! We don't compare to Mandy, but we did pretty good. First I was going to put as many pictures as I could on one post, but that just doesn't work so . . . here's Day 5 (or Friday) of our trip. Mike, Ron and Karsten went hiking on the Bierstadt Lake Trail. A couple of these pictures are from either Mike or Ron - good shots of their hike. The women and children went out to Lily Lake and hiked that trail. It's not a hard trail to walk (good for me and my legs) and has some very beautiful scenery to look at while you walk. We also did some golfing in the afternoon. We golfed twice on this trip. It really was fun, but the water gods were after us both days -- we got rained on both times! Friday's shower was very cold. None of the ladies cared what they did on the 18th hole, we just wanted in out of the rain. Jackson won a free game at this particular golf course (???) and we left it for the next family that uses the cabin.
